Concrete sculpture Venus from Milo

Venus de Milo (Aphrodite) is one of the most famous sculptures created in antiquity. Perhaps the world would never have heard of her had it not been for her accidental discovery by a resident of a Greek village near Milos. The goddess is half-naked, her robe around her hips, extending to her feet. The delicate, realistic drapery of the robes draws attention. A beautiful and proportionate figure for the home and garden, it expresses delicacy and harmony. It is believed that the goddess held an apple in her left hand, and that her right hand was leaning against a column. Venus de Milo is made of white concrete, it is slightly patinated and frost-resistant.
